U.K. Twitter Is Angry At This Tabloid Cover For Sexualizing Female Politicians

The Daily Mail’s front page has sparked a #Legsit backlash.

U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May met with Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on March 27 ahead of the beginning of the Brexit process. The Daily Mail U.K. decided to cover the meeting between two world leaders about triggering Article 50 by running a front page story on their legs. U.K. Twitter, from May and Sturgeon's fellow politicians to members of the public, soon jumped on the #Legsit hashtag to express their anger at the cover.
