Thanks to lucrative alcohol companies and multi-million dollar entertainment ventures, Diddy and Jay Z are the wealthiest men in hip-hop, according to Forbes.
The publication's annual Forbes Five list documents, as the name suggests, the top five richest people in hip-hop. Diddy topped the list with $820 million thanks in part to his partnership with Cîroc vodka, DeLeon tequila, and a large stake in Revolt TV.
Jay Z, who was third on the list last year, came in a close second, with $810 million. Jay saw a 30% increase in wealth this past year after Spring invested $200 million in Tidal, bolstering the streaming service's valuation to $600 million. In addition to Tidal, Jay has Roc Nation and Armand de Brignac champagne to boost his income.
Rounding out the list is Dr. Dre with $740 million, Birdman with $110 million, and Drake with $90 million.
