Amandla Stenberg Completely Reinvents Mac DeMarco’s “Let My Baby Stay”

Amandla Stenberg's next big acting role will be in Everything, Everything, a teen romance based on the 2015 young-adult novel of the same name. Ahead of the movie hitting theaters on May 19, Stenberg has shared a new cover of Mac DeMarco's "Let My Baby Stay," which features on the soundtrack.

The original "Let My Baby Say" is typical of DeMarco's charming lo-fi slacker sound and appeared on his 2014 album Salad Days. However, Stenberg takes the song and turns it into a woozy late-night R&B jam. "Please don’t take my love away," they sing. "Let my baby stay." Check out the song, and its accompanying video, above.
