Following the massive success of Get Out, Jordan Peele is bringing his talents back to the small screen. Deadline reported Tuesday that the writer-director-actor is teaming up with J.J. Abrams to adapt the Matt Ruff novel Lovecraft Country. The hour-long show already has a straight-to-season order from HBO, with the pilot being written by Underground showrunner Misha Green.
'Lovecraft Country' is more of a social thriller/horror/sci fi/ based on Matt Ruff's book; the amazing @MishaGreen will helm the show! https://t.co/xGuRpVj8Gj

The show, which Peele described in a tweet as "social thriller/horror/sci fi," will follow Atticus Black as he goes on a road trip through 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. Like Get Out, the show will examine the terror of being black in white spaces.
