On 21 Savage's Issa Album, "FaceTime" stands out against the Atlanta rapper's typical hardened sound. The song is a slowed-down ballad, and, during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, 21 said that Epic Records didn't want the track on Issa Album.

“Label don’t ask me to do nothing,” 21 told Charlamagne The God. “I just did that—just me. The label didn’t want me to put it on [Issa Album] because they felt like people weren’t ready for that side of me. But I still just put it on [Issa Album] because I’m in control.”

21 announced that he had inked a deal with Epic Records last January. His debut album, Issa Album, was released on July 7. Watch 21 Savage's interview on The Breakfast Club above.
