Grimes Gives Update On New Music: “Trying To Make Something You’ve Never Heard Before”

Grimes has given a brief update on the progress of hew new music. The Canadian artist, who released her latest album Art Angels in 2015, revealed the news via Instagram. In a post announcing her inclusion in Harper’s Bazaar‘s Icons list, Claire Boucher said she is venturing into "unexplored sonic landscapes" as she writes new music.

"I kno i've been quiet lately - in the studio every day trying to legit make something you've never heard before," she wrote. "Unexplored sonic landscapes. I need another month or 2 of pure unadulterated creativity at which point I will begin finishing tracks. Won't let u down."

This is the first update on new music that Grimes has offered since November 2016. Back then she told V that she was "really vibing on making something really slow and gorgeous that just breathes, and has room to breathe."
