After a week of kneeling from the sidelines of the NFL, the NBA seems to not want their players to follow in similar footsteps. According to a report by the New York Daily News, NBA Comissioner Adam Silver spoke on Friday about the issue, informing the press that NBA team members will be required to stand during the national anthem. An additional memo reminding players and coaches of that was sent out again on Saturday.

Notable faces of the NBA have already publicly spoken out against Donald Trump, although the original message that Colin Kaepernick was sending through kneeling was a protest against police brutality and racial injustice in the United States.
