Kendrick Lamar will open the 2018 Grammy Awards, Billboard reports. He leads the latest raft of additions to live performers at the ceremony alongside Sam Smith and U2.
Lamar is nominated for seven awards, including album of the year, at the event. It is also reported that Elton John will be joined by Miley Cyrus to perform one of his classic hits. The U.K. singer-songwriter is to receive the 2018 President’s Merit Award on the night.
Previously confirmed performances on the night include SZA, Childish Gambino, Kesha, Lady Gaga, Kesha, Alessia Cara, Khalid, and Logic, plus Cardi B and Bruno Mars.
The Grammys will return to New York City after 15 years and will be hosted by James Corden. The awards show takes place at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, January 28. See the full list of nominees here.
