Lil Pump has been arrested for discharging a weapon in an inhabited place, according to a new report in TMZ.
The "Gucci Gang" rapper's account of the events leading to his arrest differ significantly from law enforcement's. Pump's manager (who was not present at the time of the incident) allegedly told police after speaking with the rapper that three individuals were trying to force their way in to his home in San Fernando Valley. Pump claimed a bullet was fired through his front door before the would-be intruders left the scene.
However, police believe the bullet's trajectory indicates the shot was fired from inside of Pump's apartment. Pump's team tell TMZ that he did fire a gun at the suspects "out of fear they were about to gain entry to the apartment." Police also found an unloaded gun below his balcony, and discovered ammunition for the weapon inside of the residence. Pump's team tell TMZ that they will view surveillance footage from the building which could show the trespassers.
Lil Pump is reportedly being held in a juvenile detention facility. TMZ also claims that police are investigating the 17-year-old Pump's mother "for endangering a minor and having an unsecured gun at home."
