"I've got a deaf brother," Thug says in the clip. "I've got a brother who can't hear or talk, so I want to act deaf for a year. So I ain't going to put out no music this year."

The Atlanta rapper, who recently revealed an unlikely name change, also offered an update on his long-awaited Hi-Tunes album, saying: "In 2019, I'm going to put out probably Hi-Tunes."

It's likely that pre-recorded guest verses from Young Thug will continue to come out across the year. He has already appeared on tracks from Young Scooter and A-Trak so far in 2018.

A rep for Young Thug was not immediately available for comment.
