Kacey Musgraves is preparing for the release of her forthcoming album Golden Hour and she's doing it with an explosion of unadulterated glamour. The country star has absolutely wowed us in not one, but two sparkling jumpsuits over the past week, and we're hungry for more.
Last week, she performed with Little Big Town at Radio City Music Hall in a rainbow sequined, My Little Pony-meets-the-red-carpet get up, and if that wasn't enough to send us into cardiac arrest, she did it again with her performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She sang "Space Cowboy," her new heartbreaking love ballad, all while looking like a half-human, half-shooting star hybrid sent from a nebulous galaxy to see how hard humans can cry. Kacey credited both her outfits to the 2000s style staple Juicy Couture, whose velour jumpsuits dressed a generation.
With three years between Pageant Material and Golden Hour, Kacey's had ample time to refine her looks from her low-key country girl attire that dominated her early career. She's a ride-or-die southern girl and that hasn't changed; her looks during her visit to NYC during Grammy week incorporated a Gucci-spin on a bolo tie as well as an elegant brocade coat in an insect and butterfly print that was obviously a hint to her other Golden Hour single, the ever so buoyant, early-stages-of-a-crush track, "Butterflies."
Kacey coruscates through her talents alone, so it's only fair that her outfits get on that level, too. Golden Hour comes out on March 30, which could mean another full month of glittering outfits to help pass by the days. Fingers crossed.
