Watch Shygirl’s “Gush” video if you’re caught in your feelings
Check out the latest visual from the south London vocalist.
Shygirl wants to be left alone. "Cloudy covered mood, I'm not feeling all too great," she spits over a hard electronic beat courtesy of Sega Bodega and STAYCORE’s Dinamarca. "If I was feeling you before I'm not feeling you today." "Gush" acts as both an introduction to the south London vocalist's world, and a warning too.
The "Gush" video is premiering above and will appear on her upcoming EP Cruel Practice, due May 25. The visual matches Shygirl's mood vividly, with a dark blue light creating the ideal vibe for when you're feeling dramatic.
"I wanted something that focused on emotion, being moody and how exaggerated it can be. a visual representation of being in my feelings," Shygirl told The FADER via email.
The EP will be released via NUXXE, the forward-thinking label run by Shygirl alongside fellow artists Coucou Chloé and Sega Bodega.
The track is Shygirl’s third solo release following 2016’s single "Want More," which was used to soundtrack to Rihanna’s Fenty X Puma’s Fall 2017 Ready To Wear show, and last year’s MSRYNVR EP. Check out the video above.
