Serena Williams has won her first Grand Slam match since giving birth in September 2017. In a face-off against the Czech Republic's Kristyna Pliskova in the first round of the French Open, Williams claimed a 7-6, 6-4 victory.
The three-time French open champion wore a black catsuit for the match, which Twitter celebrated heavily. Her husband joined in on the public fanfare, calling it a "superhero outfit."
Williams herself took a moment online to honor other mothers, especially those who experienced a hard pregnancy or birth experience, which the tennis champion has been vocal about. In a tweet sent after the match, she wrote "Catsuit anyone? For all the moms out there who had a tough recovery from pregnancy—here you go. If I can do it, so can you. Love you all!!"
