East London's B Young broke out late last year with his hit single "Jumanji," a hot and heavy slice of Afro-swing that saw the Hackney resident line-up alongside contemporaries J Hus and Yxng Bane. Today he returns with new song "079Me" to carry the party spirit into the summer.
The "079ME" video, premiering on The FADER, sees B Young head to the hills of Ibiza where he takes in the picturesque scenery of an island with far more to offer than its hedonistic reputation suggests. It's the perfect accompaniment to the song, a lilting, "Controlla"-esque, ode to getting a significant other's phone number.
Speaking via email, B Young said of the visual: “I wrote '079ME' around the same time as 'Jumanji.' It’s got the same feel good vibe and it’s definitely a song for the summer. Shooting the video in Ibiza made perfect sense and it was a movie! Shout out to [director] KLVDR for capturing the chilled vibes.”
