While Nicki Minaj announced the cancellation of her NICKIHNDRXX tour's North American leg on Tuesday night, Future — the tour's co-headliner, has yet to provide any statement regarding the tour. Nicki shared that new solo dates for the North American leg would come in 2019, explaining that Future would not be accompanying her on the new North American dates — citing "scheduling conflicts" as the reason for his absence.
"With Future's schedule, I may have to take another co-headliner," Nicki said in a video posted by Baller Alert on Instagram.
In a press release, Live Nation shared that the North American leg cancellation was due to production problems — despite reports of low ticket sales from Page Six and some evidence of that online. The Queen rapper also said that the tour's European leg will go on as scheduled.
As of now, Future is still set to perform with Nicki during the tour's European dates. On Wednesday morning, there were unsubstantiated rumors floating around Twitter that Future would joining Travis Scott's Astroworld Tour. The FADER has reached out to representatives of Future for comment.
