Liam Payne (formerly of One Direction) has released his newest solo single. It's called "Stack It Up," and it's all about reaping the benefits of late capitalism. A Boogie Wit da Hoodie agrees with Payne's sentiments, emphasized by his guest verse on the track. If, upon first listen, the song sounds like something Ed Sheeran would smear onto this world, it's because Sheeran wrote it. Stream "Stack It Up" below.
“I’m so happy to be releasing my new single and for you all to finally hear it," Payne wrote in a press release. "Me and Boogie had so much fun doing it. This is a song I’m really proud of and I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.”
Payne's debut solo album, then titled Familiar, was due to drop back in 2018 but has been delayed. In a recent interview, Payne told Virgin Radio Dubai: "I don't really know where I'm at with it yet but I know I'm having a good time doing what I'm doing... I like releasing different singles and I like touching on different subjects and sounds. I'm just seeing where it goes."
