Dave Free is no longer president of Top Dawg Entertainment, Rolling Stone reports. Free assumed the role in 2007, and was instrumental in the success of the label that would sign Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and ScHoolboy Q. He also created some of TDE's most iconic videos with Lamar as the directing duo "The Little Homies."

Rolling Stone's sources claim Free has been working solo "for several months," and neither Free nor TDE have issued a statement on the departure. While Free has expressed a strong interest in entering the world of film, Rolling Stone reports that Free has been developing the career of L.A. rapper Baby Keem.

Some of Free's videos include "Alright" with Kendrick Lamar, "King's Dead" for the Black Panther soundtrack, and Jay Rock's "Win."
