Back in May, Paramount released the first trailer for the live action Sonic The Hedgehog movie, and it was widely agreed that the whole thing was cursed. The issue was how Sonic looked, specifically his full set of tiny human teeth. It didn't matter how fast he ran — Sonic couldn't get away from the public outcry. Director Jeff Fowler promplty announced that he and his team of animators would go back to the drawing board and make Sonic hot enough for the general public.
Today, November 12, Sonic's big reveal arrives, and the animators seem to have nailed it. Sonic looks great and, most importantly, no longer like your middle aged neighbor Keith if he was condemned to living the rest of his life as a blue rodent.
You can see the new trailer for the movie, which also stars Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, ahead of its February 14, 2020 release date. That's right, this thing is coming out on Valentine's Day. Hit play on the video above and say a prayer for anyone who gets dragged along on the opening night.
