Domestic violence charges against Roddy Ricch dropped

All charges of domestic violence brought against Roddy Ricch have been dropped, XXL reports. He was arrested on felony domestic violence charges last summer over an altercation with his girlfriend; Pitchfork has now confirmed with the L.A. County District Attorney’s office that there was insufficient evidence, causing the case to be declined.

Roddy Ricch gained a significant boost in profile this week after his song “The Box” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, blocking Justin Bieber’s new single “Yummy” from reaching the top spot in its debut week. His debut album, Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, was released in December 2019.
