Actress enlists Sampha, Yves Tumor, and more for Karma & Desire short film
The Lee Bootee-directed visual comes on the heels of Actress’s Karma & Desire album.
Last week saw the release of electronic producer Actress's entrancing new album Karma & Desire. Unlike the press cycle for his last album AZD, this one didn't have any music videos leading up to the project's release (if you haven't seen the videos for the AZD singles "X22RME" and "Falling Rizlas," check those out) Fortunately, today we've got a Karma & Desire short film shot by director Lee Bootee.
A press release describes the film as "a love story — or the story of a missed connection." The 17-minute clip feels like a James Bond reboot for a museum's modern art wing and stars Zsela and Yves Tumor as the star-crossed agents of espionage. Keep your eyes peeled for a Sampha cameo as well.
Before dropping Karma & Desire, Actress shared great remixes of Soccer Mommy's "crawling in my skin" and LEYA's "Wave."
