Afropop star Mr Eazi has connected with reggaeton heavyweight J Balvin for their latest single "Lento," a multi-lingual track that serves as the follow-up single to Eazi's Nicki Minaj and Major Lazer-assisted "Oh My God," which dropped back in October. "Lento" sees the pair trade verses in English, Spanish, and Yoruba over bouncy Killertunes-helmed production.
“Since we connected in 2018, J Balvin and I have been like brothers,” Mr Eazi said of the collaboration. “It’s been a cross-cultural interplay and marriage between what I feel are cousins. It’s in that spirit that we made ‘Lento,’ one of many records we’ve recorded together.”
The track is set to appear on Mr Eazi's forthcoming EP, Something Else, slated to drop early next year. Most recently, J Balvin nabbed a Latin Grammy Award for Best Album for his album Colores, which features another collaboration with Mr Eazi, "Arcoíris."
