Last week, Rico Nasty dropped off a performance for NPR's Tiny Desk (Home) Concert. It was a metal-themed revisiting of some of the more aggressive songs in her catalogue, earlier hits that made her a star as well as more recent tracks that maintain her status as a Gen Z icon. Rico's still in a giving mood: as Stereogum points out, on Monday the rapper uploaded five previously unreleased songs to her official SoundCloud page.
The songs on the playlist, titled "Ricos Archives," don't stick to one mood. "Switch Places," with its mutated kick drum and Rico's unrelenting venom, is easily the most intense song of the bunch. But she's in a romantic mood on "How Ya Feel" and "Show Me Your Love," while "Cotton Candy" and "Grow Up" find Rico in a more reflective, free-associating mood. Stream them all below, and check out Rico's latest, officially released single "Buss."
