In September, Fugees announced a slate of world tour dates celebrating the 25th anniversary of their classic album The Score. The group performed one show in New York City before a surge in COVID-19 cases forced the postponement of the rest of the tour, slated to begin last November. Now, the group have formally cancelled the rest of the remaining dates.
"We anticipate and understand disappointment but our anniversary tour will not be able to happen," Fugees wrote in a statement. The continued COVID pandemic has made touring conditions difficult, and we want to make sure we keep our fans and ourselves healthy and safe." However, the band remains open to touring again in the future: "If opportunity, public safety, and scheduling allow, we hope to be able to revisit this again sometime soon."
