Tomoaki Nagao a.k.a. Nigo is a revered figure in street fashion thanks to his seminal clothing line A Bathing Ape and his work as creative director of Kenzo. He's also a musician with an indie rock album called Ape Sounds to his name, released in 2000. Now that he's beloved by rappers in North America, Nigo's sound for his upcoming project I Know NIGO has taken a new turn – recent singles have included "Heavy" featuring Lil Uzi Vert, "Hear Me Clearly" featuring Pusha T, "Want It Bad" with Kid Cudi, and "Arya" with A$AP Rocky.
All those songs appear on the just-released tracklist for I Know NIGO. Standing out immediately is "Punch Bowl" with Clipse, the duo of Pusha T and No Malice who broke up in 2010 after No Malice dedicated his life to Christianity (the pair reunited in 2019 for "Use The Gospel," a song on Kanye West's Jesus Is King). Tyler, The Creator shows up on two songs ("Lost and Found Freestyle 2019" and "Come On, Let's Go"), Pharrell guests with Gunna on "Functional Addict," andt here's a posthumous Pop Smoke verse on "Remember."
