Earlier this month, Yeah Yeah Yeahs announced their comeback, teasing new music coming soon under their new label Secretly Canadian. Thankfully, we’ll get a taste of what’s to come quicker than expected. The band announced on social media that their first song in nine years is called “Spitting Off the Edge of the World” and features Perfume Genius. It comes out on June 1.
They also told fans based in NYC to be on the lookout for the HellYEAHRacer (a thrashed limo with “Yeah Yeah Yeahs” written on it) on Memorial Day weekend.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs haven’t formally revealed plans for a new album yet, but they’ve announced some shows coming up, including stops at NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium and LA’s Hollywood Bowl.
