BabyTron's new surprise album is supposed to feel personal. The Detroit rapper rose to prominence giving detailed instructions for various internet scams from behind a cartoon illustration of himself. 6, by contrast, features a very real photo of a very young Tron on the cover, which makes sense since the release coincides with his birthday.
6 is BabyTron's 6th project, but his first without any features. In a funny coincidence, it's actually one of two projects with that name and greyscale cover art that were released today (the other one is by Kenny Mason). The record is chock-full of the off-kilter beat choices and bananas rhymes ("Spidey-Senses" rhymes "Delorian" with "Dr. Kevorkian") that put Tron on the map, but whether this project gives fans a closer look at who he is is remains to be seen.
