The microphone that Cardi B hurled at a crowd member at a recent Las Vegas show is being auctioned to the highest bidder, TMZ reports. The winning bid will be donated to charity, according to audio company executive Scott Fisher, who is selling the prized item.
Cardi threw the mic into the crowd during a show at the Vegas club Drai’s after an audience member threw their drink toward the stage, splashing the rapper in the process. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department subsequently received a battery report from one of the two people the item hit after being thrown from the stage.
The microphone belongs to The Wave, an audio production company based in Vegas. The company owner, Scott Fisher, told TMZ that he wants to use the viral moment to raise money for two charities: the Wounded Warrior Project and Friendship Circle Las Vegas.
“It was pretty easy to track down the mic after the show, because the white tape across the bottom of it says ‘MAIN,’ and it still works despite Cardi chucking it into the crowd,” Fisher is quoted as saying.
Bidding on the mic began at $500 on eBay. At the time of writing, the highest offer has passed $50,000.
