When Kanye West first started getting attention we vaguely remember a bunch of rap nerds all up in arms that he bit his production style from RZA. Over the course of his career we've heard some similarities but at this point it would be pretty safe to say he's branched way out. "Heartless," the second single from 808's & Heartbreak, has a Liquid Swords-era minimalist RZA vibe, and is what would happen if, instead of kung fu movies, RZA was influenced by Ralph Bakshi, Phil Collins and Roger Troutman. 808's will be released at the end of the month.
