Freeload: Charles Hamilton, “Windows Media Player”

Charles Hamilton says "How arrogant of me to explain a hot bar from a song for free?" but then uses his various websites for the chorus. He is rapping over a loop from a Windows computer turning on and the loud click of a mouse. We are so far past HAL 9000. Imagine Charles Hamilton as Dave. He would be smoking weed with the red light, putting up iPhone pictures of the two of them on his Flickr. "I shut the game down, again." The first time he shut the game down was when his friend wrote on his Facebook wall "Hey Charlie, you totally shut the game down with those mean raps at our sleepover party after our ninth grade graduation ceremony." Technology is too meta. But then why is this so good? It's past jokes. Jokes aren't even funny anymore, Hamilton knows that. He's not making any jokes, just blunt self-promotion. This is like when racecar drivers have cars that say "Bank of America" and "Radioshack" all over them except if Charles Hamilton was a racecar he would say "Me, this is an ad for myself" and "This guy right here, check him out on the web." And somehow it wouldn't be gaudy and we could click.
