Call us paranoid, but a few weeks ago, while perusing the top friends on the Klaxons' MySpace (shut up!), we ran across this band The Big Pink, also from London. We said to ourselves, "Hey this is excellent. It's slightlly abrasive, yet totally uplifting. We'll ask their management for an mp3 to put on The FADER dot com." No sooner had we stopped talking to ourselves than a bunch of sites posted the same song we'd politely asked for, "Too Young To Love." Were they spying on us? Are we too nice? Does the internet foster evil and betrayal? Yes, no, yes, respectively. They are spies, we are pros, and this thing is the devil's penis in the shape of a silver box.
Anyhoozers, we got the go ahead from the band to post this great song, the b-side on their upcoming vinyl-only "Crystal Visions" single on House Anxiety, and we will have plenty more to say about them in the future. In the meantime, if you're in London, check them out supporting Crystal Castles tomorrow night at the Electric Ballroom. They are apparently pretty nuts.
