Ever since our massive Yay Area feature a year ago, we've been waiting for the rest of the world to go dumb and pick up on the insane slang and even insane-er beats of local heroes like Keak The Sneak, Turf Talk, Ya Boy, and dozens more. After talking to bay legend E-40 about his new album on Lil Jon's BME records, we started to wonder if Fonzarelli's LP would be the one to finally break the scene to the rest of the country. And now we're about to find out for real: "Tell Me When To Go," the first single from 40's My Ghetto Report Card is out on 12", and today we caught pictures from the single's video shoot on Focus And Record (where the snaps up top come from). Check them both out, and join in our excitement - the song's "tell me when to gooooooooooo!" chorus (and "thizz face" and "shake them dreads" call and response) are some of the most addictive club chants we've heard all year.
