We've gotten a couple reports already from various associates who went to the Mixshow Power Summit in the Bahamas this past weekend. Everything from punchline-by-punchiline freestyle battle recaps to "what the fuck is up with that 'Laffy Taffy' song y'all like?" to the shocking admission that yes, Jay-Z's private jet is the only way to fly. But what we are most excited about is that everyone seems to think that Busta Rhymes's debut Aftermath LP is about to seriously push back some wigs.
Just in time to raise our excitement meter even higher, Hip Hop Game posted this new Busta track. The sparse beat splices together the best elements of "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See" and "Light Your Ass On Fire", and Busta goes from whispering to dungeon dragon RAH RAHs in the space of a single verse...but what's really good with that chorus? It's distended, robotic voice is sampled from the accapella intro to Daft Punk's sorely underrated "Technologic" single. We are fucking with this. FLIPMODE!
