Last night we took over the breathtaking (not a word we use a lot but this time we actually factually mean it) Angel Orensanz Foundation on NYC’s Lower East Side and invited cover star Jim James of My Morning Jacket to play a very special solo set for a crowd of FADER family, lovers, brothers, sisters, fathers, movers and shakers. Beyond the fact that Jim is a bar none rocker with a voice of gold, he showed us that he’s a total bro and and bonafide fan! (Check the hot sauce shout out above). Thanks to the good folks at Budweiser Select and Finlandia vodka for being kind enough to provide us with boozey merriment, which we enjoyed—in moderation! Thanks to the majorness of Zune for powering the whole affair. And extra special shout outs also go to DJs Ayres and Eleven for the musical interludes and general goodvibes.
