Sometimes we wish for shelved albums to come out fully knowing it won't happen, so when we mentioned the other day our flickering candle for The Fixxers' Midnight Life, it was with similar skepticism. But suddenly this morning, after months of rumors of Quik turning down offers and pulling the album from negotiations, here it is, available for download on
Secret Music Group's MySpace page (don't click on their real website because it doesn't exist), and it is as awesome as
we've been trying to tell you. "Can U Werk Wit Dat" is on there as is "So Good," but so are a bunch of insane nü-G-funk jams no one has heard until now (you can hear samples before you buy), and the whole thing is only $11.88! Does this sound like a commercial? It is! A free one! We love this shit! Go buy it.
UPDATE: DO NOT BUY THIS, PEOPLE. SOME DICK JACKED QUIK'S MYSPACE AND LEAKED HIS ALBUM. GO BUY QUIK'S WHOLE CATALOG FROM SOMEWHERE OR JUST SEND QUIK AN EMAIL AND TELL HIM YOU LOVE HIS MUSIC.
