We recently celebrated the final season of everyone's favorite drug drama The Wire with HBO and some of the series' biggest fans in New York and Baltimore. The Backyard Band, Rod Lee and Diablo provided the sounds, and Slim Charles even took the stage to spit the real. It was lots of fun, but more importantly it included an auction of Wire paraphernalia that will benefit the Ella Thompson Fund, which supports programs that provide recreation to kids in Baltimore's inner city neighborhoods, as well as programs that connect children with the natural environment. The auction has now been extended to Ebay, where you can bid on signed copies of each season on dvd, Jeff Staple produced sweatshirts designed by Marz, Clot, Techvector, William Caprio and Romeorex and signed by celebrity Wire fans, and signed posters and soundtracks. That's a lot of signatures and a lot of money that could go to a good cause. Check the auction here and definitely, definitely watch the show every Sunday night on HBO. More pics from the NYC party after the jump.
