Lil Wayne's interview with Katie Couric on CBS' Grammy Special last night (with faux YouTube transitions!) was the best we've seen or heard in a long time. It convinced us that Wayne can no longer be interviewed by music journalists or fans or people who have heard his music or know who he is. He now must be questioned solely by people who say "Little Wayne" and giggle about weed and who he might want to call Miss (Whoever) and hold pattycake hands with while they talk about bowling. When our own Nick Barat interviewed Wayne for the FADER 47 cover story a couple years ago the results were fascinating, but there are some questions that would never even dawn on the most inquisitive Lil Wayne listener and there are answers Lil Wayne will only give to certain people.
