"The Laurels of Erotomania," from Cold Cave's debut LP, Love Comes Close, is much more glum than "Life Magazine," though we do hear the chipper voice of Caraleee McElroy buried in there. This simple track from the Philadelphia band on the bright end of the industrial scale is all keyboards and a low toned, potentially creepy plea to "pay attention to me." Cold Cave just self-released Love Comes Close, pick it up on vinyl and get a poster of the ridiculous cover art.
