We were going to post this yesterday, but then we got to Woodsman's MySpace page and got carried away on a really aimless and somewhat spiritual musical journey. Like, not that there aren't a million bands who are willing to acid test their way through the recording of an album, and not that we couldn't walk to one of the few music stores left and find an entire section devoted to 16-minute instrumental jams that we can tell are about ravens and rainbows even if there are no lyrics, but sometimes it's even more intangible than that. There are bands who don't want to attach any sort of direction to their music, and then there are bands like Woodsman that temper their wandering. They reach waaaayyyy out there, sure, but they always bring it back in. Background music for when you're not actually doing anything else but listening.
