It's interesting to think that The Roots, with their years of dedication to craft and commitment to live tightness, might have become better songwriters by having to play meaningless rights free intro/outros to commercials on the Jimmy Fallon Show. It's the equivalent of being Einstein and breaking your balls for years to crack the atom, giving up, going to work at Denny's and seeing the answer in a plate of hash browns. Actually it's not, but, like, what? How does this happen? Maybe we should go ghostwrite Soulja Boy's Twitter for awhile and see if suddenly the next great American novel spews out of us. It won't. We just want that job. #wecandream
