The best song on this tape is obviously, "Stupid High," though its actual quality is irrelevant. (The worst might be "Ike Turner Pimpin.") The tape opens with a blown out screen from DJ Smallz that they're "sick and tired of being sick and tired," promising to deliver. For the most part, Juicy and Project Pat generally do, especially on the tracks with some varied production (soul guitar, plucked strings). The songs vary from creepy and stone-ily paranoid to just goofy, the direction much of Three 6 and compatriots have walked towards the past few years. The best songs, maybe a return to original form, are the stark ones that remind us of the old Three 6 with masks. They might not have been as elaborate as Slipknot but they were a lot scarier. Someone's gotta rescue horrorcore, we nominate Juicy J in a Misfits shirt.
