Old Money has been on a sort of NY funky/subtle soca tip for awhile, plugged into the UK via their West Indian (and Eastern European!) birthplaces, and "Mamaseh" is a perfect example of that. However, this video, directed by Char Loro, sent us into a crazy brain spiral because it made us realize that though we like to think our lives in the city are all about working and going to shows and fun dance parties, in fact, the majority of our time is spent walking down the street, riding the subway or otherwise traveling, and hanging out in bodegas. Also: aimlessly mean-mugging. So we can relate to the paranoia Old Money is throwing out there—but dude, you know you can't go through that door into the subway operators room, right?
