Not being musicians ourselves, for the most part, whenever we hear someone make a crazy ambient drone jam, we're like, How much craft went into this? Was it carefully thought out or did they just hold down a couple keys on a dinky keyboard for ten minutes? We'll probably never know the answer, so we just have to rely on instinct, and our instinct is pretty much: a jam is a jam. Kevin Greenspon—who records as...Kevin Greenspon and also runs the Bridgetown Records label, has a bunch of new stuff up for sale. Like any good label dude, he is also offering a free downloadable sampler of some of the stuff including songs from No Paws (No Lions), who were part of the Family Time Records story in FADER 62, as well as warm ambient excerpts from Hedia and real moody guitar pieces from Greenspon himself. If you're feeling it, you can grab a whole bunch of CDs and tapes from dude for only 20 bucks at his website.
