Translating the "I Got 5 On It" chorus from a smoker's anthem (over Esco Da Shocker's Lunitic riddim, naturally) into a dancehall hip-grinder (show me the body that I neeeeeeed) is fairly ingenious, and more evidence that right now longtime deejay Mr. Lexx is having a true renaissance. Indeed, he's on the cusp of a new mixtape, Lex-i-con (May 7), and shooting videos for "Wine Pon Me" and "Dem A Pree" as we speak. His low-throated voice is one of the more pleasing sounds on earth, humorous and knowing, something like the purring of a cat—a cat that wants to see you nekkid.
