We've previously been familiar with Woodsman for their massively long jams that usually culminate in some kind of crazy rippling guitar solo followed by another guitar solo bouncing against it from the opposite direction. It sometimes sounds like playing the same song in two different places at once. "When the Morning Comes" is actually a complete departure from that, instead relying on distant chants, twinkling electronics and a rock solid drum beat to propel the song forward. It comes from their new EP Mystery Tape, out June 1st on Lefse Records.
