On the low, Woven Bones' In and Out and Back Again is kind of a psych rock record, only instead of being all swirly with guitar solos reaching for the skies, it plumbs the depths of dirt-encrusted cheap guitar and mixes it all into a brown mush with sneered vocals howled from way in the distance. Essentially what we're getting at is there is a song called "Half Sunk Into the Seats," and like the rest of the record, it captures that same sticky feeling you get when you haven't showered in a couple days and your back is stuck to a scalding hot car seat in vaguely uncomfortable way (just us?). In and Out and Back Again is out on HoZac May 18th, which means you have one week to relax in comfort before you have to spend the rest of your summer living your life like this record sounds. If you really can't wait a week though, you're in luck, because the entire record is streaming below via that convenient Soundcloud player that shows you a fun little image of how loud the music is getting as you listen.
