In an internet awash with tumblelogs and visual diaries, another image blog doesn’t usually create much of a splash. Which is why it is with some surprise that we’ve found ourselves quickly addicted to Intelligent Clashing. A sparingly formatted stream of found photos, magazine clippings and product shots, it can seem at first a bit like the irrational, psychedelic ramblings of a mind addled by Google Reader and web-induced ADHD. But the longer you stare, and the further back into the seemingly endless archives you venture, there comes a point when it all begins to make complete and total sense. It’s then you realize that there is, after all, a gloriously simple method to this madness of fishtail braids, patio furniture and tastefully arranged house plants on hand-woven Moroccan rag rugs. And you could probably even put it into words if you weren’t so busy looking at all the pretty picture.
