There's a pretty long intro at the beginning of this video that states that bay rapper Roach Gigz didn't write this song about the police shooting of an unarmed man named Oscar Grant, but that they wanted to show the frustration surrounding the event—which director Aris Jerome does a pretty great job of. Roach Gigz—who is already a pretty animated dude—seems to be putting everything into this video even as he's rapping disconnected (but still awesome sounding) shit like she's dreaming about my palace, reality is different/I'm staying in the slums but she don't know the difference/get it? she don't know where I'm living. Totally worth checking out.
