The daily Minaj barrage rides on, with yet another video that is boring until Nicki shows up to put down her verse. Have these people just considered letting her direct? Her ideas have to be less rote than the typical dude-in-a-club jam, particularly this snoozer of a strip club peep show. In any case, "Bottoms Up" the song is her best feature as of late, a rap in which she channels the most peculiar of her alter egos—Roman Zolanski?—and the baby doll voice/hairdo of the name-checked Anna Nicole Smith. She shouldn't have to do the booty dance on the rings, though. Too good for it.
