Still trying to figure out this whole Nike7Up thing. Like, shouldn't this not work? Shouldn't it be lame and corny? Here, Nike7Up—who is bound to get sued at some point—takes vocals from Nirvana's "In Bloom" and layers them under constant pulsing synths. It's music that could not exist in any other time and it's weirdly disconcerting. Do we like it because we recognize the source material? Or does it work on its own? We're thinking it's the latter, and that is not a bad place for an artist to be. (via Chocolate Bobka)
