New York-based Sacred Stitch teamed up with Brooklyn MC Fresh Daily to help them design a special five-panel hat for spring, though they looked farther out than their native five boroughs for inspiration. They drew upon the Zulu Nation for the African-inspired print, but it's a fascination with the great Sun Ra that sends the design over the cosmic tipping point, with an insignia on the back that's not quite a sacred triangle but looks pretty damn close. Sun Ra was a great fan of hats, so even while his choice of headgear was usually a bit more extreme, we're happy to know that Sonny continues to influence the things he loved.
